X Factor hopeful Rylan Clark has revealed that he would love to star in hit reality show The Only Way Is Essex.
The controversial 23-year-old contestant from Essex revealed that he wouldn’t mind a shot at TV stardom and said he would never rule out embracing his roots and becoming a fully- fledged cast member.
Rylan said, “Who knows, maybe one day. It’s something I wouldn’t mind getting involved with, but at the minute I want to do dance music and it’s my priority.”
Rylan is clearly a fan of TOWIE, praising it for going from “strength to strength, series to series.” The handsome singer is also friends with a few of the cast members, including ex-cast members Amy Childs and Harry Derbridge, so would be welcomed with open arms.
X Factor's Rylan Clark Eyes Up TOWIE Role?
He has polarised viewers with his dramatic reaction to being put through to the live finals by mentor Nicole Scherzinger, but Rylan has insisted that he is not a novelty act and that his outburst was genuine. He said “I don’t want people to misunderstand me and think I am here for a laugh.”
Rylan explained how the X Factor is currently “his priority” and he will continue to work hard to keep his position on the show.
He has also proved immensely popular with the other contestants and Lucy Spraggan has spoken to Heat magazine defending her new pal. “He’s a fantastic guy, genuinely on-screen and off-screen- fantastic- and the same guy.”
Rylan will take to the stage tonight in the first of the live finals, with his performance sure to be a spectacle as he takes on Spandau Ballet’s classic hit 'Gold', if reports by Unreality TV are to be believed.
