wennThe X Factor USA's ratings are on the rise after a disappointing defeat at the hands of The Voice last week.
The returning talent contest, which boasts Britney Spears and Demi Lovato on its judging panel, struggled with around 8 million viewers per episode for its two-night premiere last Tuesday and Wednesday (September 12/13), but this week has shot up to just under 10 million.
The Wednesday night (September 17) edition pulled in 9.54 million viewers and a 3.6 demo rating amongst 18-49 year-old to become the highest-rated show of the night.

Last night (September 18), the fourth episode climbed to a season high of 9.85 million viewers, hauling a 3.4 demo rating. It was both the most-watched and top-rated broadcast of the evening, earning network Fox an easy victory.
It wasn't all good news for them however, as Glee - which aired after the talent show had finished - slipped 6% week-on-weel to 7.42 million viewers and a 2.9 rating, despite focussing on X Factor judge Britney Spears.
The episode has proven controversial, with Brit's manager Larry Rudolph said to be "livid" over several references to infamous public meltdown in 2007.
The X Factor USA finally debuts in the UK next Thursday (September 27) on ITV2.
