WENNTulisa lost her first act in tonight’s X Factor when Jade Ellis failed to secure a place in next week’s show.
Union J and Jade were the two acts to receive the fewest number of votes following last night’s ‘Halloween’ themed show.
Union J sang first in the sing off, and opted to sing Pink’s ‘Perfect’ and found it hard to hold the tears back. Mentor Louis also had a tear in his eye’s and didn’t want to see his act go. On the Xtra Factor Louis told Olly and Caroline, “I am in shock” and he really believes that Union J are “the next big boyband”.
Jade sang after Union J and delivered a beautiful rendition of Dido’s ‘White Flag’. The emotion was evident on Tulisa’s face and it was obvious that she did not think that Jade deserved to be in the bottom two.
Louis voted first and unsurprisingly chose to send home Jade and save his own act, Union J. Tulisa also decided to back her own act, so sent Union J home and saved Jade. Nicole admitted that she loved Jade Ellis from her first audition but saw more potential in the boys, so chose to save them and send Jade home. So the final decision lay with Take That star Gary Barlow. For the first time since this year’s live shows started, the decision wasn’t taken to deadlock and Gary chose to also send home Jade and save Union J. Gary told Jade that he was worried that “I want this more than you” and that he can see how hard the boys work and he’s “excited” to see what they do next.
So Jade is now out of the competition meaning that Tulisa’s category is now down to just Ella and Lucy.
