    Whitney Houston Dies, Aged 48

Whitney Houston has passed away, aged 48.

The Associated Press reports that her publicist Kristen Foster has confirmed the news, though the cause and location is unknown.

TMZ has speculated that she died at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where a crime lab vehicle has been spotted moments ago.

Houston had been working on her big film comeback Sparkle, in which she stars opposite Jordin Sparks. Just earlier TODAY she was linked to a judging role on The X Factor USA.

She will be best remembered for being a pop icon who was a superstar from the middle 80s, with a string if iconic hits including 'I Will Always Love You' and 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody'.

She was also a force to be reckoned with at the Box Office, most notably for 'The Bodyguard'.

Her image was plagued by a string of personal troubles in the later stages of her life, though she did make a musical comeback in 2009 with the hit single 'Million Dollar Bill'.

Mariah Carey has written on Twitter: "Heartbroken and in tears over the shocking death of my friend, the incomparable Ms. Whitney Houston. She will never be forgotten as one of the greatest voices to ever grace the earth."

She will most definitely be missed. What an utter tragedy.

We all have a DAY, HOUR, WEEK, MONTH or a YEAR that we will all Rest in Peace and for "WHITNEY" time has come for her to relax and all her trubles are no more. Many people lived their lifes through Whitney's songs, some broke up and they were reunited through her Music. Some used Whitneys Song in their events like Marriages and other social events and that brought hapiness to them. REMEMBER this song:- YOUR LOVE IS MY LOVE, MY LOVE IS YOUR LOVE. How happy i was to here that song, it gave me and others more Happines than i we had. We as the people that loves your Music "WHITNEY" we all say"QUOTING FROM ONE OF HER GOLDEN ULBUMS:- WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU! Rest in Peace "WHITNEY"

sorry she was a fantastic singer i loved her music but as for the drugs she chose that path all that money and still not happy only way to cope is with drugs? all these stars what a waste of talent and life people die everyday of diseases such as cancer they want to live then u have these stars snorting coke doing heroin and waste their life drugs are not natural this is the outcome and to all the grieving fans i do have respect and sympathy for family friends and fans but this is my opnion I just lost someone to cancer never did drugs wouldnt have wasted their life if they had a choice

what's sad about this? easy solution.....don't take drugs and abuse alcohol. you can get back to me with all the nonesense about how she lived and the pressures and all that #$%$ simple choices to make! either i get fkd and bombed outta my tree or don't take any drugs! no strength of mind to move into any semblance of sobriety is a terrible thing.question? where were this woman's friends? she didn't have any is the answer. real friends would have sorted her out.that is what is sad about this.

Like so many of the stars, they go down the broad road to fame and destruction and early death due to drugs and/or alcohol
      • WELSHMAN 3 months ago
        i'd say it's a narrow road wouldn't you?
