Tyson Beckford Signs Up To 'Britain's Next Top Model' Panel

Supermodel Tyson Beckford has been unveiled as the newest member of the Britain's Next Top Model judging panel.

The 41-year-old will be flaunting his permanently-glossed pecs alongside MTV reality star Whitney Port, fellow supermodel Elle Macpherson and designer Julien Westwood on the UK spin-off of Tyra Banks' popular franchise.

"Having guest judged on last season's series, it's fantastic to be taking on a permanent role on the panel this year and I'm looking forward to finding the next editorial star," said Beckford of his new job.

The Bronx-born catwalker previously hosted Next Top Model rival show Make Me a Supermodel for two seasons from 2008-09.

Actor Taye Diggs recently revealed Beckford's success made him feel more secure in being a dark-skinned black man, saying: "When I saw Tyson Beckford hailed as this beautiful man by all people, that caused a shift in my being."
