'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2' is on track for a huge opening weekend at the box office, but its final figures will likely trail those of 'Harry Potter' and 'Breaking Dawn - Part 1'.

In the US, the final film in the vampire franchise is on course for a $135 million debut. It's a huge figure, and almost $100 million ahead of its closest competition - 'Skyfall' ($38 million).

If it stays on track, it will finish just shy of the $138.1 million garnered by predecessor 'Breaking Dawn - Part 1'.

'New Moon' earned $142.8 million in its opening weekend, whilst 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2' raked in $169.2 million and 'The Hunger Games' took $152.5 million.

Elsewhere this weekend, 'Lincoln' is looking at a respectable third-place finish, ahead of 'Wreck-It Ralph'.

'Flight' will likely chart at No5, ahead of 'Argo', 'Taken 2', 'Pitch Perfect' and 'Here Comes The Boom'.

'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' is set to round off the Top 10 on $1.1 million.
