They can't help but go all out for every big event they're invited to, and last night was no exception when the TOWIE girls came out in force wearing their swankiest gladrags for the TV Choice Awards.

Blonde bombshell Lydia Bright, who is known for a slightly more alternative style than the regular Essex ladies, channelled 1950s glamour in a vintage floor length black gown from Coast, which was anything but understated.

The dress featured a corseted top and floaty bottom half, and Lydia kept up with the retro theme with a statement diamond necklace form Carat London featuring emerald gems, red Jimmy Choo heels and a vintage style handbag with matching gloves.

She wore her golden locks in an old school Hollywood inspired updo and sported a full make-up look with lashings of red lipstick to finish off the showstopping look, reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe. And it looks like Lydia had a good night as she later tweeted: ''Me & @tomkilbey #TVchoiceawards beautiful evening & loved presenting an award with @misJORGIEPORTER''

Meanwhile, fellow TOWIE goer Chloe Sims looked ready for a ball as well in a floor length teal gown by Pia Michi which was adorned with a chunky jewelled neckling and clung to the reality star's trim figure.

And in true TOWIE style, Chloe matched her eye make-up to her dress with bluey teal eyeshadow, wearing a bronzed look and nude lips to complete her face, with her hair tied back into an evening updo.

The plus size girlfriend of James Argent, Gemma Collins, contradicted her garish personality by playing it safe in a sophisticated LBD which showed off her every curve and ample assets with its plunging neckline.

The 31-year-old mouthy reality star added some sparkle to the look with a glitzy clutch and diamante peep toe heels. She wore her long blonde locks in a straight style and donned a less than flattering (or subtle) make-up look of smokey eyeshadow, thick foundation and concealer lippie.
