The battle between Strictly Come Dancing and the X Factor has been ignited once after after Strictly professional dancer James Jordan slammed Simon Cowell for his attempt to "mess up" the show by poaching Alesha Dixon for Britain's Got Talent.
The dancer who will be fox-trotting and cha-chaing across the SCD dancefloor with Denise Van Outen, also slammed the X Factor for being "samey".
Talking to the Daily Star, the star said: "I think we’ll keep beating them. X Factor hasn’t evolved as much as Strictly. And that’s why Simon took Alesha.
“He did it to try and mess things up for us.”

Believing that the hit BBC show will triumph against the X Factor in the ratings battle after doing so last year, James continued:
"X Factor is very samey. They change the judges to spice things up but it doesn’t work.
“It’s the same concept every year.”
Meanwhile, reports have suggested that James' fellow professional dancer Anton Du Beke is less than happy with his dance partner, Jerry Hall, for fear that she will be too "high maintenance."
A source revealed to The Sun: "Anton was livid. He hoped he’d get someone like Victoria Pendleton who viewers would love. He feared Jerry would be another high-maintenance star who the public would end up not liking.”
