Strictly Come Dancing: Johnny Ball Has To Change Partners Due To Injury

    BBCBBC

TV legend Johnny Ball – the eldest of the Strictly celebrities – had a shock this week when his beautiful partner, Aliona twisted her ankle in rehearsal and had to leave the show.

Best known for his TV show, ‘Think Of A Number’, Johnny Ball has been on our TV and entertaining the nation for years. He entered the competition with enthusiasm and energy, stating that he looks forward to getting fitter and fitter.

At the premiere of the show he was over the moon with his allocated partner, Aliona Vilani, and they seemed to be getting on perfectly in rehearsals. Although, during a rehearsal of their tango routine Aliona slipped and noticed she had twisted her ankle. After a visit to the X-Ray room it was decided that she had pulled her ligaments and, therefore, could not carry on dancing for tonight’s show.

Poor Johnny wasn’t partner-less for long, however, as he was saved by the lovely Ivet. They managed to start rehearsing straight away and came out tonight to dance a tango to The Beatles‘Drive My Car’. Singing along, Johnny looked extremely happy and enjoyed being on the stage in front of the crowd.

Besides Bruno’s comment of Johnny having "failed the MOT", the judges seemed to enjoy their ‘great energy’ and enthusiasm. Let’s hope the sudden change of partners and the few critical comments won’t put him down and he’ll get better and better throughout the series!
