The Stone Roses' Ian Brown Slams The Royal Family In Shock Outburst

The Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown took a huge swipe at the royal family during the Stone Roses' huge Manchester gig at Heaton Park on Friday, calling them "parasites" and branding the a "tyrranny".

The incident took place during the first of three huge gigs in their hometown, and despite the music emerging triumphant Brown will have angered royallists by saying:  "This song's dedicated to those parasites down the road (in London)... celebrating 60 years of tyranny."

It shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to fans of the band and roses experts, as their song, 'Elizabeth My Dear', which Brown was introducing, is anti-royallist in its sentiments.

The reference was to the jubilee celebrations, and Gary Barlow's Jubilee gig, which Brown doesn't seem to have been a huge fan of.
