X Factor boss and music man Simon Cowell has spoken out on Justin Bieber's Grammy Awards snub, labelling the people behind the nominations "snobby."
Bieber failed to pick up a nod in the 2013 nominations list, despite a hugely successful 2012 which saw him launch critically acclaimed third studio album Believe.
Simon voiced the views of millions of Beliebers when he spoke to TMZ about the snub:
"You know what? He deserved one [a nomination], I think. But they can get a bit snobby sometimes."
However, Cowell is convinced Bieber won't be too worried about the lack of nominations, adding, "He won't be crying too much. He's doing fine."
Whilst Simon's Bieber defence was pretty restrained, the singer's manager Scooter Braun didn't hold back on Twitter earlier this week, he was clearly furious by the lack of attention from the music world's biggest award ceremony:
"Grammy board u (sic) blew it on this one. The hardest thing to do is transition, keep the train moving. The kid delivered. Huge successful album, sold out tour, and won people over... this time he deserved to be recognised."
Meanwhile Simon has also been speaking up for the other shock omission from the awards list, One Direction. Si insisted to MTV News that the Brit boys are "not complaining" about the snub:
"You know what's more important? Fans, record sales, I've always said that. Maybe next year they'll get something."
The Grammy Awards will be handed out in Los Angeles on February 10 next year.
