It appears the tension between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey on American Idol has yet to subside after the pair got into a dispute over a hopeful on last night's show.
Having managed to stay civil with each other for the majority live show episodes, Kree Harrison's performance on last night's show proved to be the subject that would arouse fighting talk between Mariah and Nicki.
Praising Kree's performance and revealing her disagreement with Mariah, Nicki said:
“I disagree … that was the best performance of the night."

Trying to explain her comments, Mariah then chimed in: “I wasn’t saying she was awkward … you don’t really disagree with me", to which Nicki responded: “No, I do and I’ll explain", before telling Mariah when she tried to protest: "Simmer down, sir.”
As the viewers watched on, so did the contestants with Amber Holcomb later telling E! Online that she was shocked at the dispute the two female judges had. She said: "The whole time it was happening onstage, my mouth was dropping. They [both] wanna get the last word so it never ends! That was something to watch."
However, by the end of the show, the pair seemed to have made up going by the observation made by E! Online's Kristin.
Nicki also complimented Mariah on her duet with Whitney Houston 'When You Believe', which was sung by Candice Glover. She said:
