New reports claim security around the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge is to be stepped up, amid fears of an attack from terrorist cells in retaliation for Prince Harry's recent tour of duty in Afghanistan.
The 28-year-old prince returned from a four month tour on the frontline earlier this month and during an interview talked candidly about his role as an RAF Apache helicopter co-pilot. These comments, especially ones where he compared his work to video games such as Call of Duty, didn't got down well with the Taliban.
“Harry’s comments caused a fair bit of tension between him and Wills. He feels that talking is such a strong way about the Taliban has really made them prime targets,” a royal source reportedly told Celebuzz.
“England boasts some of the most worrying terror cells in the world and so this is a real threat.”
Now security around high profile members of the royal family, particularly Kate Middleton, who is expecting her first baby in July, have been stepped up the site claims.
A series of security measures will be included in the £12 million refurbishment of Prince William and the Duchess' apartment at Kensington Palace, where they will move later this year, have been designed to give the couple maximum protection.
The website claims the “ring of steel” around the Duchess has been at the request of Prince William.
The insider added: “While Wills stands behind Harry a hundred percent, but he also now considers his commitment to his wife and new child just as important.”

A Prince At War: Harry on the front line (WENN)
Two days ago the president of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai defended the comments made by Prince Harry. In a joint interview with ITV News and The Guardian, he said of the comments made: "Prince Harry is a young man, we do give exits to young men when they make mistakes."
When Harry arrived in the war torn country last September, Taliban commander in Helmand province, Maulvi Ahmadullah Ahmadyar, told Channel 4 News: “Our priority will be to kidnap him at any cost as we have our informers at the military base being used by the British troops here in Helmand. And if we don’t succeed then obviously we would like to eliminate him through our Afghan friends working with British troops.”
We've reached out to the Palace for a comment on the claims.Security Around Pregnant Kate Middleton Increased In 'Wake Of Terrorist Fears'
