Sarah Harding Admits Prescription Drug Addiction

Sarah Harding has ended her week from hell by revealing an addiction to prescription pills.

The Girls Aloud star hit the headlines at the start of the week as she was left needing hospital attention following a fight with boyfriend Theo De Vries in the skiing resort of Innsbruck.

After revealing her full injuries from the fight, including claims he grabbed her by the hair and hit her head off the floor, Harding has now revealed her battle with drugs and admitted that she sought treatment for an addiction to Zopiclone.

"My drinking was out of control and I was addicted to sleeping pills. It was an awful combination." Sarah told The Sun.

Revealing she turned to drink after her split from DJ Tom Crane in 2011, Sarah said: "I was lonely out at my house in the countryside on my own. I was isolated and depressed.

Adding: "I was drinking to deal with my emotions after the split."

It is noe believed that Harding will spend time with friend Cheryl Cole to help her recover.
