    Sande 'annoyed' by Brits snub

Scottish singer/songwriter Emeli Sande was fuming when she was prevented from picking up her Critics Choice honour onstage at the Brit Awards on Tuesday, branding the snub "annoying".

The 24 year old, who has recorded with rapper Professor Green and written tracks for stars including Susan Boyle and Cheryl Cole, was chosen for the honour by a panel of experts and was expected to pick up the trophy during the London ceremony.

But due to time constraints at the event, Sande was not asked onstage to accept her award - and the star was hurt by the snub.

A fan asked Sande on Twitter.com, "Did u get ur (your) award... the camera only went on yea (sic) for (a) sec (second)."

Sande replied, "Yeh... kinda Annoying. But it's on top of my piano now!"

A source tells The Sun, "She'd been looking forward to it for months and was really disappointed when her win was not properly recognised. She's worked incredibly hard over the last year and what she has achieved has been phenomenal."

They should have more time to actually do the awards properly,i didnt think she had won an award until i read it here, why not let the winner of the main award of the evening, the mastercard one actually sing after receiving their award and dont focus so much on a band who havent played together for the last 15/17 yrs and sounded #$%$

People forget how contrived these shows are , its all about "me,me,me" and less about the British music scene. It used to be about what people bought , but we don't sell records anymore...we have endless talent shows and u-tube..I think COLDPLAY summed it up...we care more for a "celeb fragrance" or "theme parks" as you can make more money than just music...You have to be able to "write" a song and tour to last or be rememberd...its why nobody lastes these days...I mean ...£90 to see Alexandra Burke at the "o2" ...hardly a legend if less than half of her songs are her own..dark times indeed for British music..

I was really confused whether she had won the award or was being announced as a nominee because it only showed her VT and then James Corden saying "so congratulations Emeli". I think the whole ceremony was poorly managed this year and far too chaotic

They cut right to Jessie J after announcing Emeli and asked her about her year since winning last year. What was the point of that? She had already featured far too heavily in the pre-show, the adverts and actual show. How did they find time for JJ and not for this year's winner?!

All these stars are so far up themselves it's unbeleivable!!! get a life...it's only an awards ceremony that was a bit of a shambles if we are honest...No one died, you still have health etc etc etc....so you didn't get to make a speech which lets face it would have only consisted of a load of thank yous to assorted people and a load of other #$%$ like so many who did make speeches!!!! Why can't they all have something short, sweet and to the point prepared!!
