Russell Brand has been called a scoundrel, a love rat and a sex maniac, but if there's one thing he isn't, it's greedy...

After Katy Perry and Russell's hugely publicised split in December 2011, we were expecting fireworks over the divorce proceedings. But, despite Brand being entitled to approximately $20 million of Katy Perry's fortune, he doesn't intend to take a single penny of it.

TMZ has reported that Russell's lawyer filed final divorce papers Tuesday, putting an end to the couple's 'Teenage Dream'. However, things won't be finalised until the end of June, as there is a six month waiting period. No wonder, what with all those other celebrities filing for divorce at the moment...

Russell and Katy apparently did not draw up a pre-nuptial agreement. Which, despite sounding very complicated, has a very simple outcome; everything they earned during their 14-month marriage belongs to BOTH of them, so they should divide all assets in half.

According to Forbes, Katy made $44 million between May, 2010 and May, 2011. Which means that Russell, who married the 'I Kissed A Girl' singer last October, could score massive bucks if he wanted to.

But he doesn't. Why? Reasons unknown. We're guessing that, despite his cool attitude towards the whole affair, he still feels something for his estranged wife...
