Radcliffe's The Woman In Black thrills on top of box office chart

Daniel Radcliffe's new thriller The Woman In Black has topped the UK box office chart in its opening weekend.

The horror movie, about a lawyer haunted by a vengeful ghost, debuted with takings of £3.2 million, seeing off competition from The Muppets, which took second place with £2.7 million.

The new 3D version of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace was the third most popular film in the country with £1.5 million, while Rachel McAdams' romantic drama, The Vow, took the number four position (£1.1 million).

Last week's chart topper, sci-fi film Chronicle, rounded out the new top five with takings of £1 million.

literally just walked in house after seeing this film it well makes you jump in places and even though its good to see daniel playing a different character i thought he would be more scared in it considering whats happening to hin not sure if its him trying to act a different character after all these years or what but thats the only thing really apart from that good 7/10

It's not bad :) the house does most of the 'acting' work but Daniel holds his own. Very glad that Hammer Horror is back :)
