The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton isn't just a good luck charm for the royal family, the brunette seems to have the golden touch when it comes to Team GB as well as they scooped seven gold medals yesterday at the London Paralympic Games.

For the final seal of approval as the games sweetheart, the Duchess was on hand to hang the gold medal around British discus thrower Aled Davies' neck last night at the packed Olympic stadium where he picked up gold after an emotional competition.

Kate has become the firm favourite of the Games this summer having attended 18 events of the Olympics as well as witnessing 10 medal wins and has been the most prominent member of the royal family at the Paralympic Games so far.

Speaking of his delight at being presented with the gold medal Aled told Radio Five Live: “It was very special,” before adding that the back of his head had made it onto most front pages of the newspapers this morning.

But the Welsh athelete admitted he "understood" why they preferred to show Kate's face.

While Kate has been in the stands and hanging medals round athlete's necks, Prince Harry, an ambassador for Team GB has yet to be seen.

He is expected at the aquatic centre today to cheer on another successful day in the pool for the Brits, his first public appearance since nude photos of the prince at a Las Vegas party were leaked online by US site TMZ.
