Katy Perry has made her first public appearance in America since her split from Russell Brand by walking the red carpet at a charity event in Las Vegas.
The funnyman filed for divorce from the pop star late last year after just 14 months of marriage, and Perry stepped out of the spotlight after the news hit headlines.
She returned to work earlier this month to play a series of shows in Asia and has now made her first public appearance in her native US.
The singer showed up to support a fundraising event for Patricia Arquette's Haiti charity website GiveLove.org at The Mirage Hotel's new 1OAK venue in Sin City on Friday night.
Perry, who showed off her new blue hair at the event, subsequently took to Twitter.com to thank all of the guests for turning out, writing, "Thanks to everyone who helped out w/ (with) the Give Love event at Mirage & 1 Oak LV. Go to Givelove.org to see how u can make a difference!"
Socialite Paris Hilton, who was also at the party, told her fans about spotting the newly-single singer, writing, "Katy Perry looking gorgeous across the room. Love her hair & dress! Stunning!"
