There's been a lot of talk about who will fill that vacant spot on the American Idol judge's panel, however it has now been confirmed that the place will NOT be filled by Miley Cyrus, despite her being in the running.
After being approached earlier in the summer as a 'possible replacement' for Jennifer Lopez, sources have now confirmed that Miles is no longer in the running for that empty seat.
Sources confirm exclusively to E! News that she was approached for the Idol gig, but talks never went far and Miley never seriously considered it.
However, for all you disappointed Cyrus fans, don't fret! Because your fave celeb has signed on for a guest role on comedy TV show Two and a Half Men, as well as continuing to work on her next album.
Meanwhile, although it may not be Miley...the list of possible celebrities who will be joining Mariah Carey on the American Idol panel just continues to grow as Alanis Morissette has confirmed that she has been in talks to join the hit show which saw Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler leave earlier this year.
Talking to CNN, the singer revealed: "Yes, I have been in conversations about it, and that's the degree to which I can share the info right now."
Watch this space...stay tuned for all your American Idol updates!
