WENN/CBSMiley Cyrus may have lost her long locks since her days as Hannah Montana, but she doesn't seem to have relinquished her appeal to TV audiences, as the star drove CBS sitcom Two And A Half Men up by nearly 15% in the ratings.
The sitcom, in which Ashton Kutcher replaced long time star Charlie Sheen after well publicised drug troubles and a row with its producer, has struggled in the ratings after moving from Monday to Thursday night, but according to Deadline.com, Cyrus gave the show a boost of 14% from last week's figures.
The singer and actress proved a major draw for teen viewers with more watching the show than any other this season.
The introduction of Cyrus giving the show a boost is similar to what happened to critically acclaimed but ratings lacking sitcom 'How I Met Your Mother' when that show had Britney Spears as a guest star.
The introduction of Kutcher as a replacement for Sheen had already reinvigorated the show, but with ratings beginning to drop off again the Cyrus bonus has come at the right time for the comedy, which may hope to hold on to new viewers gained by her appearance.
