Mariah Carey Wouldn't Make Commitment To X Factor USA Claims Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell has ruled out Mariah Carey appearing on the X Factor USA panel by claiming that the diva wouldn't make the commitment to the show.

Revealing that the star isn't even on his list of possible replacements for Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul, the media mogul, who has also dismissed rumours that Beyonce has been offered a spot on the panel, told Extra:

"She's not on the list because I don't think Mariah would make that commitment. She's just had kids…You have to work five days a week on this show and you've got to do all this travelling as well.

"So, just to put it out there, she will not be on the list."

Admitting that he would love to have the 'We Belong Together' star on the panel, Simon added: "I would love her (to do it), but you can't expect someone who's just had two kids, who's got a record career, to make the kind of commitment you would need on this show."
