Madonna's Super Bowl praised by star pals

Madonna sent Twitter's celebrity users into a frenzy as she performed at the Super Bowl on Sunday, with stars including Pink, Steve Martin, Reba Mcentire and Estelle gushing about the pop superstar's set.

The Material Girl kicked off her 12-minute gig with a rendition of Vogue, seated on a huge gold throne as an army of gladiators paraded through Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

She teamed up with LMFAO, M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj during the set and sang several of her hits including Music and new track Give Me All Your Luvin', before Cee Lo Green joined her onstage for the finale.

Madonna closed her set in dramatic fashion, disappearing through a hole in the stage and her celebrity fans turned to Twitter.com to praise the Queen of Pop.

Actress Kirstie Alley gushed, "Could Madonna look any more gorgeous!? Jeez! This is Awesome! Genius!!!", while Sharon Osbourne declared: "Madonna is back! She's the queen. Just sensational!"

Estelle told her fans, "I want to see no other performances for half time ever. Anywhere in the world. CeeLo. Nicki Minaj and LMFAO. Seamless too" and Martin wrote: "Congrats to Madonna for great spot, especially considering game has resumed during last three minutes."

Pink stated, "She does less, and yet she's so much more... Madonna", while country star McEntire adds, "Madonna did a fantastic job on the Super Bowl Half Time show!! She is amazing!!! Great job!!!! Loved it!!!!!"

Will.i.am, who performed at last year's half time show with the Black Eyed Peas, wrote, "I thought Madonna rocked... that stage was amazing... I'm proud of my guys LMFAO... Madonna is a legend."

The New York Giants went on to win the game against the New England Patriots by 21-17.
