Louis Walsh Wants Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Cheryl Cole X Factor Comebacks

Louis Walsh has been stirring up controversy (again) by saying he'd love to see ex X Factor judges Cheryl Cole and Sharon Osbourne make a return to the ITV show alongside his best pal Simon Cowell.

Louis, who currently sits on the UK judging panel with Gary Barlow, Tulisa and Nicole Scherzinger was quick to forget about his current teammates when speaking to The Metro ahead of tonight's first live show.

The Irish charmer said he'd love to see some familiar friends return to the judges table:

"My ideal dream team would be Simon, Sharon, me and, who would be the fourth one? Cheryl," Louis said.

The veteran judge was quick to insist he didn't have any say on the judges line-up, saying that was all down to the big boss Simon: "I’m not saying they should get them back – Simon owns the show, he’s the boss".

Louis added that he thought Sharon and Cheryl, who both made cameos as guest mentors in last weekend's show, would love the chance to return full time: "Sharon told me she’d love to come back. I don’t know if Cheryl would but I think she might with Simon."

"I still speak to her a little but Simon and Sharon more. Not for advice though, I don’t need that! I’ve been working with Simon for 15 years, he knows me very, very well."

Despite being willing to replace them at the drop of a hat, Louis did have some nice words for Gary, Tulisa and Nicole:

"Nicole is a great addition. We are all getting on well now but tomorrow it's all going to start. I like Tulisa, she’s great fun and very feisty."
