Look Out, Adele! Hilary Duff Plotting Return To Music

Hilary Duff has told fans that she is back in the studio recording new material.

The heavily pregnant actress, who released three studio albums through Disney's Hollywood Records label between 2002 and 2007, hit the UK Top 10 with her singles 'So Yesterday' and 'Wake Up'.

Speaking on Twitter, she said: "ooooooo excitement ensuing ...now! recording all day! (sic)"

Matt Squire, producer and co-writer, tweeted: "Such an amazing session with @HilaryDuff yesterday!! Xcited!!!!!"

The Miley Cyrus of the early 00s, Hilary played Lizzie McGuire in the Disney Channel series of the same name between 2001 and 2004, before going on to star in the films 'A Cinderella Story', 'The Perfect Man' and 'Cheaper By The Dozen'.

She also had a recurring guest role in Gossip Girl in 2009.

She recently revealed that she lost a tooth on her wedding day - from eating a bagel.
