Lindsay Lohan's Mum Admits She 'Regrets Pushing Her Daughter Into Showbiz'

Lindsay Lohan was once the golden child of Hollywood, starring in 'The Parent Trap' and 'Mean Girls' but following her fall from grace the actress' mum has admitted she has regrets about getting her daughter into showbiz.

Dina Lohan has spoken out on her daughter's career which included 60 commercials and her lead role in 'The Parent Trap' by the time she turned 11. She told the New York Daily News:

"I was born into the business. My mother was an entertainer. It was natural. But yes, in the next life, I might not do it."

Lindsay's arrest and subsequent booking for the  offence of leaving the scene of an accident could trigger a probation violation relating to her 2011 jewellery theft case, as one of the conditions of probation is that she obeys all laws.

Dina confessed she is not proud of her daughter's arrests and erratic lifestyle, but refused to take the blame. She said: "I'm certainly not making excuses for Lindsay's behaviour. But she's a 26-year-old woman."

Instead she pointed the finger of blame at her daughter's assistant. She said: "I have questions about Gavin.There have been numerous incidents with Lindsay where he has been present."

"He was with her recently at [millionaire Sam Magid's] party when she was falsely accused of burglarising jewellery. It's all very sketchy."

"I don't party with Lindsay. In the early years, I would go with her to clubs, because I wanted to see who the enablers were."
