Lindsay Lohan is set for a showdown later today as she's due in LA at 8:30am to face a string of charges, but the star's journey to the court room has reportedly been far from straightforward as reports emerge of the actress disembarking her planned flight yesterday due to safety concerns.
Lindsay's big day in court is finally here, with the star required to attend a hearing in Los Angeles or face imprisonment if she fails to turn up. According to sources though the actress doesn't seem that concerned about her big day, with reports that she skipped a flight from New York to LA on Saturday night to see a band called City of the Sun at The Red Door, the Mail Online reports.
Lindsay was then apparently supposed to be on a plane yesterday but according the TMZ the 26-year-old deboarded the plane when she learned there was a fuel leak. Sources close to the star say 35 other passengers also got off the flight, which was then diverted to Las Vegas for more fuel.

Lindsay is now reportedly in the JFK Airport lounge trying to find another way back to the West coast in time to make her court date, with sources saying she's resorted to calling friends to try and get a private plane. If the actress fails to appear in Los Angeles at 8:30 a.m. today the judge will issue a bench warrant for her arrest.
Lohan was charged with three misdemeanors, including lying to police after her June car crash. There are more problems for Lindsay though as she has yet to hire an official lawyer, after her current counsel, Mark Heller, attracted criticism from a judge in January who questioned his knowledge of California law
Heller appeared to heed the warning and sought help from respected Orange County criminal law firm Wallin & Klarich, who offered up Fox News legal analyst David Wohl, with the lawyer tweeting on Friday: "@lindsaylohan My law firm was hired by your Dad. He wants nothing but the best for you. We will be there Monday to help, if we're allowed".
