The new series of The X Factor US premiered last night (September 12) and new judge Britney Spears got well wishes from her close celebrity pals Lady Gaga and Will.I.Am

The singer joined the shows panel alongside fellow new judge Demi Lovato and returning panelists Simon Cowell and LA Reid.

Gaga took to Twitter to send good luck message to Britney: "@BritneySpears good luck on x-factor!" Gaga tweeted.

"So excited to see you on TV again. You look so princess high."

While, the Voice judge Will.i.am also added: "I want to wish @BritneySpears good luck for #xfactor tomorrow night…"

Britney Spears clearly enjoyed watching the first episode of the talent show as she thanked all the viewers who had tuned in.

"So amazing to see @TheXFactorUSA episode for the 1st time tonight - wow!" Britney tweeted. "I think u all are in for a treat."

Britney Spears and Will.i.am were seen in the studio earlier this year recording a new song for his forthcoming album, set for release on October 18.

Will's new album #willpower also features collaborations with Rihanna, Chris Brown, Nicole Scherzinger, Cheryl Cole, Ne-Yo, Justin Bieber and Jennifer Lopez.
