Lady GaGa Branded 'Disgusting' By X Factor USA's LA Reid

LA Reid has said he regrets dropping Lady Gaga from his record label because he thought her music was "disgusting".

The singer, who is one of the most critically-acclaimed breakout popstars of the last few years, was signed to Reid's Epic label until he dropped her before she released any music.

Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres today, the X Factor USA judge said he was initially blown away by the star when she first performed for him, telling her: "You are going to change music".

But two months later, when an A&R representative played him her demo tape, he had a complete change of heart.

He recalled: "I said, ‘You know what? This is disgusting', and I dropped her and I dropped him. It was the biggest mistake I ever made in my life".

He later admitted that he feels like Gaga was better off in the long run without his support.
