Kris Jenner launched her own talk show recently and the momager has used the opportunity to discuss her daughter Kim Kardashian's "obsession" with troubled actress Amanda Bynes, admitting that the reality TV family love to keep up to date with the star's life.
In an outtake for the new chatshow, Kris can be seen telling her co-host for that week's show, Ryan Seacrest, that Kim has been busy keeping up with Amanda's life and just wants her to "get better", being a mother herself.
"Kim loves Amanda - she's obsessed with her and really wants her to be fabulous and get well," says Kris.
She added that "as a mum" she also wanted her to get well and found it "very sad" that Amanda was in hospital: "This is something that, for me as a mum, makes me very sad, but happy that she's getting perhaps the help that she needs for one reason or another," she said.
"I've always said, 'I don't know what goes on behind the scenes, I'm not there, I don't want to be the one who's quick to judge, you know, and be real negative.' I like to look at the glass half full. And so I'm really glad that, whatever is going on, this would be the start of a new beginning for her."

Ryan agreed, saying that it was "important who you have around you" and compared Amanda's situation to that of Britney Spears. However, Ryan seems hopeful that Amanda's future is positive, saying "Britney's in a great place now, better than she's ever been".
Kris added that her daughters Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kylie and Kendall won't end up like Amanda as "we just surround ourselves with each other, 'cause there's 52 of us."
It was reported that Amanda will now be held under an involuntary 5150 order by police for an assessment of her mental health for another two weeks.
Initially the 5150 only allowed police to hold the actress for 72 hours but a judge yesterday granted a request to extend the hold for two weeks according to TMZ as doctors reportedly argued they needed the extra time to properly diagnose the actress' problems and that if she was released could post a serious threat to herself and others.
