In the world of normality, a stranger ringing your doorbell is no cause for alarm. Annoyance, perhaps, if it's a travelling salesman or an angry neighbour, but, nevertheless, only annoyance. In the world of celebrity, however, it's a symbolic representation of DANGER!

On Saturday night, the police were called to Kim Kardashian's home after a man showed up, laden down with suitcases, and rang the doorbell. So far, just a teeny bit weird. It was only when he insisted Kim invited him to stay with her that we finally saw her point of view on the matter.

Remind us again, what exactly are the perks of being a celebrity?

According to TMZ, Kimmy K was so freaked after a strange man rang the doorbell at her Beverly Hills home last weekend that she has decided to up sticks and move to a gated community.  She point-blank refuses to live in any house without round-the-clock gated security.

Apparently the reality star has been seen browsing in several exclusive gated communities in the L.A. area, including Bel Air (yup, home of the Fresh Prince!) and Mulholland Estates. She'll be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Paris Hilton and Charlie Sheen if she moves to that neighbourhood and then, gated community or no, someone ringing a doorbell will be the least of her worries...

Never mind, maybe her good pal Justin Bieber will protect her!
