Kate Middleton Flies Solo

If you were hoping for more camera time with Kate Middleton, you're in luck! The Duchess Of Cambridge is poised and ready to launch herself as a solo member of the Royal family...

Most women would feel a little lonely if their new hubby disappeared for six weeks, but Kate isn't going to have any time to feel down when Prince William head off on his tour of duty in the Falkland Islands. Instead of sitting and waiting around, she's planning on using the six weeks wisely and making her mark as a Royal.

Just like any good Princess-In-Waiting, Kate is planning to carry out a series of charitable engagements for the good causes of which she recently became patron. 

One of Kate's close friends has reported that she will be attending a number of events on her own:

“Kate will attend events for each of the organisations... Some of them will be public visits, others will be kept private.”

We're loving this bold move from our fave Royal. She's so far only carried out one public engagement flying solo and that was way back in October; we have absolutely no doubts that her winning smile, effortless style and fantastic charisma will win over all those she comes across.

So it looks like it's au revoir to William and bonjour to Kate!
