Jordin Sparks Convinced Her 'Sparkle' Co-star's Wife Wanted To 'Kill Her'

Jordin Sparks has confessed that she was petrified to film love scenes with her co-star, Derek Luke, for her new movie Sparkle.

The 22-year-old was put in an awkward situation when she was joined onset by the actor's wife - who kept a watchful eye as the two filmed the intimate footage.

"The first time I had to kiss Derek, I was sooo nervous. His wife was there on the set that day and I thought, 'She'll kill me,'" she told New York Daily News.

"I mean, I don't go around kissing strangers. I finally got comfortable kissing Derek. But I had to do it (kiss a co-star) again for a new movie. I don't know if I'll ever get used to that."

The singer-turned-actress will be making her movie debut in the TriStar Pictures flick due to be released this month, which also stars the late Whitney Houston.
