Jennifer Lopez has passed on some vital tips to her successor Mariah Carey on the panel of talent show American Idol.
Five-time Grammy award-winner Mariah yesterday confirmed she will be replacing 'Get On The Floor' singer Jennifer as a judge on the panel of the hit talent show. Clearly not bitter about her new replacement, Jennifer offered Mariah some tips on how to succeed in her new position.
"There is pressure as far as the live shows, but you know what? Just remember you're there at the end of the day to help those contestants grow and to get to the end and to get to that finale," Jennifer told E! News.
"And whenever I thought about that it always made my job a little less pressure-filled and a littler easier, because it's not about you. It wasn't about me, it was about them. It was about helping them and that always made it a lot of fun for me. I'm going to miss it a lot."
Jennifer, who is currently touring with Enrique Iglesias on her Dance Again world tour, is confident that the 'We Belong Together' singer will be a success because of her experience in the industry.
"She's [been] a musician for a long time she has a lot of experience," she said.
"And it's that experience you offer them at the end of the day, the contestants just want to get better and grow through the process.''
Do you think Mariah is right for the position?
