Janet Jackson Speaks On Weight Issues: 'Michael Used To Call Me Pig'

Janet Jackson has spoken out about the body issues she experienced as a child as recalls her late brother, King of Pop Michael, calling her names such as "pig."

The 45-year-old made an appearance on Anderson Cooper show earlier this week and discusses a range of topics with him, including the weight issues she suffered from a young age.

"I remember I was getting dressed for the very very first episode -my first time away from my family- and as the wardrobe lady was dressing me, she said ‘I have to put bandages around your chest because your breast are too [big]," she explained.

"I developed at a young age and I immediately thought, ‘as I am isn’t good enough’."

After explaining that one of the producers told her to lose weight, Janet reveals that she was the subject of taunts from her brothers. "[Michael] use to call me names. I had lots of names. I had ‘horse’, ‘cow’, ‘pig’, ‘donk short for donkey'," she revealed.

"It’s a nickname that will forever stick with me but I don’t mind it at all. It can affect kids differently. For myself, it was very painful but I never told anyone."

Janet also revealed that she nor her siblings were allowed to call their father 'Dad' as he was "known as Joe to them."

The 'Rhythm Nation' singer recently paid tribute to Whitney Houston, describing her as "incredible."
