It's not everyday you hear a Hollywood actress say she'd love to have facial hair, but Cate Blanchett isn't afraid to speak her mind.
The 43-year-old star has admitted that she would quite like to have a beard following her time on set of 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.'

Speaking on ITV's Lorraine on Thursday morning, Cate said: "There was one moment where I fell in love with all of the facial hair and the facial hair jewellery.
"I mean I don't know if that's going to take on, but it could take off. I said to Peter that if I could come back and wear a beard - because the female dwarves have beards – and I said I'd be up for that."
Cate, who plays elf Galadriel in the upcoming movie, went on to say: "I couldn't because I was on stage, but he promised that he was going to be my husband. And I've always wanted to have facial hair but I've missed my chance."
The mother-of-three never thought she'd get the opportunity to play the elf again, following her appearance in 'The Lord of the Rings' films.
“I didn't think I'd get another chance, and I've got to play her younger than she was before which was a challenge," she explained to Lorraine.
"But when you're 3000 years old, give or take 10 years - what's that?”
Asked if she ever felt pressure to look good at film premieres, Cate replied: “I try not to fall over. It's hard to look good in minus 2 degrees.
"It's fantastic, there's no pressure on me really, it's Peter's and Martin's night and the dwarves' night, I'm just along for the ride.”'He Kept Touching Her Bum': Harry Styles Cops A Feel Of Taylor Swift On Pub Date
