    Houston's funeral confirmed for Saturday at childhood church

    Whitney Houston's funeral will take place on Saturday at her former childhood church in New Jersey.

    The I Will Always Love You hitmaker was found dead in the bath in her hotel suite in Los Angeles over the weekend.

    Her body has since been released to her family and on Monday it was flown to her home state New Jersey, where it was transported in a gold hearse to the Whigham funeral home in Newark, where Houston was born.

    It was reported her funeral would take place on Friday at Newark's Prudential Center arena, but it has now been announced it will be held a day later at New Hope Baptist Church - where Houston sang in the choir as a child.

    The official cause of Houston's death is yet to be confirmed.

      She was too young to die. I miss her already and never even met her. Her voice was beyond amazing. What talent and beauty she had. Thanks for the songs, Whitney, and may you be at peace and continue to sing in Heaven.
