Golden Globes 2013: Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery Set To Face Homeland's Claire Danes In Awards Battle

    WENNWENN

They've both kept us entertained playing their respective characters but Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery and Homeland's Claire Danes are set to go head-to-head following the release of the Golden Globes 2013 nominations, which puts them in the same category for 'Best Performance by an Actress In A Television Series – Drama'.

Joining the ladies in the category is Glenn Close for her role in Damages and The Good Wife's Julianna Margulies.

Vying for the award for the men include Claire Danes' Homeland co-star Damian Lewis, Jon Hamm for his portrayal of advertising supremo Don Draper and star of Boardwalk Empire Steve Buscemi. Sadly none of Michelle's Downton male co-stars made the cut for the male equivalent.

But that is not the only battle Michelle and Claire will face as Downton Abbey and Homeland will also be going against each other for the 'Best Television Series — Drama' category.

Joining Downton Abbey in flying the flag for British shows is Sherlock following Benedict Cumberbatch's nomination for 'Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television'.
