It’s never fun being the bearer of bad news, but Entertainmentwise are sad to report that the Glee 'Live! In Concert!' tour has been cancelled for 2012.
The cast of Glee are some of the hardest working actors in Hollywood, often working 16-hour days when filming the show, and as a result TV bosses and co-creator Ryan Murphy have decided that the cast will have a much deserved rest during the summer break in filming.
A show spokesman told The Hollywood Reporter: "We currently have no plans of touring the cast this summer."
Rumour has it that Glee producers are hoping to have a one-night benefit concert at The Hollywood Ball instead, featuring Glee stars Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer, which will raise money for Give a Note, an arts education charity.

Last year's Glee 'Live! In Concert'
The concert has been going for two consecutive years, and in 2011 the Glee concert tour grossed more than $40 million after visiting the US, Canada, England and Ireland.
Although we’re a bit disappointed that we won’t be seeing our favourite musical show in concert this year, we’re glad that those hard working Glee kids will get some much-deserved time off!
