Newlywed soul sensation Emeli Sande has been given an extra reason to smile after landing five nominations for the Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards.
The singer, who wed in Montenegro on Saturday, will battle it out for Best Song (Next To Me), Best Video (My Kind of Love) and Best R&B/Soul Act.
She will compete with Jessie J, Rita Ora and Tulisa Contostavlos for the Best Female title, and she will face off against some stiff competition in the Best Album category - Our Version of Events will go up against releases by Ed Sheeran (+), Labrinth (Electronic Earth), Ora (Ora) and fellow five-time nominee Plan B (Ill Manors).
Ill Manors has also earned Plan B nods for Best Video and Best Song.
R.I.P. hitmaker Ora is up for Best Newcomer alongside Conor Maynard, Jessie Ware and Lianne La Havas, while Sean Paul and Damian Marley are shortlisted for Best Reggae Act, and Drake, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Beyonce and Jay-Z & Kanye West are all in the running for Best International Act.
The winners of the 2012 MOBO Awards will be unveiled at a ceremony in Liverpool on 3 November.
