Jennifer Ellison went into shock after slicing her head open with a skate during Dancing On Ice on Sunday.
The former Brookside babe was rushed to medics after she pierced the back of her skull with her blade by flicking her leg backwards in a 'scorpion kick' manoeuvre on TV.
The 28-year-old blonde beauty battled through the pain to finish her routine with partner Daniel Whiston, but her hair was filled with blood by the time she skated off camera.
Daniel explained: "It was a very scary moment.. when I looked down, her whole hair was just red.
"Everybody cares about her very much, including me. She is a trooper... She wanted to finish that routine and I thought it was her best skate."
Host Phillip Schofield has taken to his Twitter.com page to update fans about Jennifer's condition, writing: "Current news on Jen is that she's ok but in mild shock and feeling a bit sick."
However, Phillip assured followers the actress will pull through, adding: "It's apparently not a serious injury though, thankfully!... She's mortified that she kicked herself in the head! And Dan Whiston is laughing cos he went into shock!!"
