Should David and Victoria Beckham be brushing off their best outfits in preparation to become God parents to Prince William and Kate Middleton's baby?

Well..No, but according to Royal biographer Andrew Morton, it would be "fun" if the high profile couple who attended Prince William and Kate's wedding last year, were to be given the responsibility.

Featuring on Channel 5's TV feature, Wills And Kate: Baby Fever which aired last night, Morton commented:

"It would be fun to see the other royal family in Britain - Posh and Becks - become God parents. I know David Beckham is quite a chum now with Harry and William."

However, the Royal biographer added that the likelihood of David and Victoria actually becoming God parents to the Duke And Duchess of Cambridge's bundle of joy are slim.

He continued: "Obviously they'll be the aristocrats because their circle is still very upper middle class and aristocratic."

Giving his opinion on who could possibly become a God parent to the highly anticipated child of the cute Royal couple, Daily Mail columnist Richard Kay suggested:

"Will Guy Pelly - the night club king - become a God Parent? That will be quite entertaining. Again, I think William will be very cautious in his choices."
