Daniel Radcliffe Wants Fans To Forget Harry Potter

Daniel Radcliffe Wants Fans To Forget Harry Potter

Daniel Radcliffe has admitted that he took his new role in 'The Woman In Black' to put an end to the constant 'Harry Potter' mania that follows him where ever he goes.

The 22 year-old finished the final 'Potter' film last summer and despite turns on Broadway and some television work, he is still widely known by his character 'Harry Potter'.

According to the Press Association the star hopes his role in ‘The Woman In Black’ will be the first step away from the boy wizard and that fans will soon forget about his most famous role.

He said: “: People are going to stop thinking about Harry Potter pretty quickly when they see this film, even if they go in thinking, 'I want to see what Harry's up to now'."

The child star admitted that he took the role because of how different it is to what audiences are used to. A ghoulish and terrifying tale, there are is no wizarding fun or Quidditch in sight.

The actor explained: "It was a great part and very different. I think this is the first step in the transition of me starting to move on and do other things and it's a really, really good first step and I'm really proud."

The Hammer horror film has so far seen success in the UK and overseas in the United States but it may be a bit longer before they forget about the boy wizard.

Die-hard fans of the saga still follow Daniel where ever he goes, with one even proposing last weekend during a TV interview with a novelty ring.

Again, usual smacking around of intent so to invent an attention grabbing article. Radcliffe is growing up and moving on and he hopes that others will move along too. At no point is he saying he isn't grateful for 'Potter'. But then again, it will feed the Trolls that post here I suppose.

You can understand him wanting the public to allow him to move on but he needs to back off a bit. Only time will tell and he just has to keep his head down and keep working. It's really not in his hands.

Perhaps he could forget Harry potter by giving the vast fortune it has bought him all away?!

Think he needs to come to terms with the fact that he will always be remembered for Harry Potter until the day he dies, besides hes got alot to thank HP for and its fans as it will be them that will be buying tickets to see his new movies.
He just needs to focus on doing new stuff, to many child stars try their best to change how the public view them and in alot of cases it ruins them and their career.

never liked harry potter in movie or book form. One story to the next once you read one they all read they same way like turning a story into a commercial commodity thats how harry potter became... i much prefer hobbit and the lord of the rings...they were original, each story was authentic and deep in the roots of the story.
