Daniel Radcliffe Admits Girlfriend Saved Him From Himself

Daniel Radcliffe may be a huge star but he admits that new girlfriend Rosie has saved him from his worst critic - himself.

The 22 year-old, who writes poetry under the pen name Jacob Gershon, has revealed that girlfriend Rosie Coker gives him the confidence he needs to put pen to paper as he puts too much pressure on his writing.

The Harry Potter actor told The Sun :"She stands there behind me, encouraging me — and any time I'm like, 'I can't write any more' she goes, 'No, no, no, let's just write'.She is very encouraging."

Daniel, who has branched out into theatre and more adult roles since he finished the final 'Harry Potter' film last summer went on: "She's like the nice half of my brain — the part of my brain that doesn't dislike me — that's her. She encourages me, which is nice."

The couple met on the set of 'Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince' in 2007 and worked together again on Daniel's newest film 'The Woman In Black' which has it's London premiere this week.

Daniel also admitted that his girlfriend is understanding about his addiction to work.

The actor is worth an estimated £50 million and has been working non-stop since he was ten churning out eight Harry Potter films as well as appearing in December Boys, TV drama My Boy Jack and the theatre production of Equus.

He said: " She knows me, so she knows that this is what I'm like."

"I've never taken a break. I've worked since I was ten pretty much every day. "This sounds like quite a sad thing to say but I don't think it is. The happiest I ever am really is on a film set."The star added.

Rosie may be understanding about his work commitments but Daniel revealed he has lost some friends over time. The actor recently admitted that he barely speaks to co-star Rupert Grint who played his best friend Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter Saga.
