Damian Lewis has been praised beyond measure for his role as Agent Brody in Emmy award-winning show Homeland, but the actor has finally revealed the secret behind his success...
And it's got absolutely nothing to do with his acting skills!
During an interview with GQ magazine, the Homeland star explained that, while his character may look like he's bubbling over with brooding intensity, that's all down to Damian's biggest flaw as an actor:
"I know it looks like I’m thinking deep thoughts on the show, but I’m probably just trying to remember my next line."
Someone take back his Emmy for Best Actor, stat!
Damian Lewis plays a former U.S. Marine-turned-terrorist opposite Claire Danes in the critically acclaimed Homeland and the actor admitted that, truthfully, his favourite part about his character is his bad boy tendencies:
"He’s a lot of fun to play because he behaves badly in extremes."
We can't wait to see what the bad boy with the bad memory (ha!) does next in Homeland...
