Coronation Street's Michelle Collins Crashes Car After 200-Mile Drive

Coronation Street star Michelle Collins was involved in a car accident when a 200-mile drive left her exhausted.

The actress, 51, still made it in to work the next day to shoot scenes for the soap.

The accident happened near the end of her regular London to Manchester commute and reportedly left the star "shaken", according to The Mirror.

She tweeted after the incident last week: "So so tired hit a parked vehicle"

Asked by fashion designer pal Nadine Merabi if she was OK, Collins replied: "I’m OK. Was shaken but my Mini is not OK..."

She later admitted that she "was just working too hard", adding: "I’m ­feeling much better thanks. Realised a car’s something that can be fixed in the big scale of things. So it doesn’t matter."

A Corrie source told the newspaper: "This crash really shook her up and she was extremely lucky to walk away from it unhurt."

Collins plays Rovers landlady Stella Price on the show.

She has previously starred in EastEnders.
