Possibly inspired by his teenage daughter Miley Cyrus, country crooner Billy Ray Cyrus has announced that he will be releasing a revamped version of his classic hit 'Achy Breaky Heart.'
The Tennessee-native shot to fame in 1992 with his smash hit debut single 'Achy Breaky Heart' which topped the charts in the US and peaked at number three in the UK.
While he failed to achieve the same success in the years after, Billy Ray has always been remembered for the heartbreak song, so it's only right that he honour it as it reaches its 20th anniversary.
Speaking about his plans for the re-release, Billy Ray told People magazine: "I got a re-cut version I'll probably release next year."
"It's got a new groove, very clubby. It's rockin' pretty hard. Twenty years later, I figure I might as well let it have one more run."
When he isn't busy planning his brief comeback, Billy Ray occupies himself by involving himself in daughter Miley's wedding plans, but got himself in trouble for claiming "they are going to have three weddings."
However, Miley set the record straight on the 'three weddings' claims, and said her father "knows nothing."
Speaking to ET Online, Miley insisted that her dad has no knowledge about her plans. "My dad knows nothing.
"I think he's getting cabin fever from [Superstorm Sandy]. He got stuck in his hotel and now he's making up crazy things."
Miley did stick up for her dad though admitting that she also tends to make things up when she's bored during interviews!
"He does what I do, when he's sitting in a press thing, he's like, 'Let's make this fun. Let's make some stuff up'."
