Showing your labour of love to a room full of movie critics most be a nightmare for most directors, enough to make even old hands break out in a cold sweat.
If you're a movie star who many are waiting to fail then it must be even worse, so it's no wonder that Ben Affleck partied hard into the night after his new film 'Argo' was praised by critics.
The movie, which also stars Affleck, and is based on the true story of how he government tried to rescue hostages in Iran under the guise of a film production, was also well received at the Telluride festival, prompting speculation that Affleck could be among the challengers for the Oscars next spring.

The actor reportedly partied with pals - including Matt Damon and Emily Blunt after the Toronto premiere of the film, which will also play at the London Film Festival next month.
Critics have said that the film may mark Affleck's coming of age as a director, an ambition he's long harboured. His directorial career is on an upward curve, with previous films 'Gone Baby Gone' and 'The Town' both well to moderately received.
The New York Times reports that Affleck was so pleased, as he imagined that the film's subject matter would annoy some, that he stayed up into the early hours with Damon and Blunt ordering pizza and shooting the breeze.
So well done Ben, critics and audiences in Toronto seem to agree that with 'Argo', you've earned your pizza.
