Leona Lewis is not one for airing her dirty laundry in public and has kept tight lipped on her personal life including her rather public and bitter split from childhood love Lou Al Chalmaa as well as her more recent break up.
In her first candid interview, which Leona gave before her split from Dennis Jauch last month, Leona, 27, spoke of her love for her ex, who she was dating for two years and the tattoo she had done to mark ”something new.”
Leona told Fabulous magazine, “I was in Berlin with my boyfriend and it felt like the right thing to do. I wanted to mark the moment so I went into a tattoo parlour and had a little flower done. It represents starting afresh, something blooming.”
Leona who is usually tight lipped about her personal life also spoke for the first time about her split from ex -boyfriend and teenage sweetheart Lou Al –Chalmaa.
The 'Trouble' singer who once described her and Lou as ‘two peas in a pod’ told how the relationship was intense:
“There was no harsh feelings. It was a very intense relationship. I was in love and you can’t regret being in love. We had a great relationship but it ended.”
Leona said that it was that relationship that helped her write the brand new album Glassheart. The Hackney born singer said of the album she co- wrote with Emeli Sande, “In a song you get to pour in a lot of emotion."
"I wrote with Emeli, who I absolutely love, and you take your own feelings, but then it sort of changes into something different.”
