It now seems to be tradition for X Factor bands to change their names at some point in the series.

GMD3 told Yahoo! omg! today that they're hoping to change their name to District 3 - a name which was suggested to them by fans.
The boys decided to go for the name change after they decided GMD3 wasn't catchy enough, and was too hard to remember.
The X Factor trio said: "We've decided we need a new name as no-one can remember it, including Louis and Sharon when we were in Vegas, so that wasn't a good start!"

Louis Walsh confirmed to us today: "I think it might be District 3."
GMD3 revealed that they had received a lot of joke suggestions for their new name, including Threesome and Threeway.
Nice.
Radio 1 DJ Greg James also suggested Louis' Little Boys. Needless to say the guys weren't keen on that one.
Here's hoping that the name is cleared and District 3 are here to stay.
